# RentalCal

> RentalCal is a direct booking and calendar sync platform for vacation rental owners. It helps hosts accept direct bookings while keeping Airbnb, VRBO, and Booking.com calendars synchronized to prevent double bookings.

RentalCal is live and open to every host. The Free plan is free forever for one property with no credit card required. Pro is $9 a month for up to 3 properties and adds card payments through Stripe at a 0% platform fee.

Target users: independent vacation rental owners, small property managers, Airbnb hosts, and vacation rental businesses.

Core features: Sites (a simple, self-service one-page booking site), embedded booking widget, real-time availability calendar, iCal synchronization with Airbnb, VRBO, and Booking.com, Stripe payment integration, booking management dashboard, mobile optimized checkout, inquiry and instant booking modes, damage deposits, rental agreements, and booking analytics.

Done-for-you option: The Direct Studio (https://www.thedirectstudio.com/) is a separate service that designs, builds and manages a custom direct-booking website for the host, with RentalCal Pro included. It is not a RentalCal plan.

## Booking API for AI agents

Any property hosted on RentalCal can be described, priced and requested by a program. No API key is needed; a booking request carries the guest's own name and email.

Quotes are not holds. Never submit a request the guest has not confirmed: dates, party size, the total, and the rental agreement when one is returned.

`data-property-id` is required: it is the property id shown on the Widget tab of the RentalCal dashboard, and the same id the public API uses.
